Meet the Doctor
Nimisha Somaiya, DDS
Dr. Nimisha Somaiya began her dental journey graduating from one of the top ten dental schools in India, and practiced general dentistry in a well-established office for several years before moving to the United States. Dr. Somaiya then completed an additional three years of advanced training, two of which were at Southern Illinois University while the third year was in a General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where she earned her certificate in IV Sedation (conscious sedation). In addition, Dr. Somaiya is a graduate of the externship program at the prestigious Midwest Implant Institute of Lewis Center, Ohio, where she received hands-on training in both the surgical placement and restorative areas of implant dentistry.

In addition to her work in private practice, Dr. Somaiya is on staff at Miami Valley Hospital, where she previously held a faculty position in the dental program. She continues to be a resource to her colleagues due to her extensive experience and certification in IV sedation. Continually furthering her education is very important to Dr. Somaiya, and she takes classes each year to ensure she is providing her patients with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Dr. Somaiya is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Seattle Study Club, Dayton Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Women Dentists. Our Promise to You
We will be thorough. We take the time to assess your overall health and dental needs. This involves discussing your wishes for your smile and your concerns or fears about treatment. To us, you are not "just another patient" - you are an individual we care about.
We are compassionate. Every recommendation we make is based on “What if this were my husband, my mother, or my child?” We understand that people have different temperaments and varying circumstances, and we believe those differences should be considered and respected during the development of treatment plans. We want our patients to achieve their personal ideal oral health.
We will be gentle. Dental care does not have to hurt! There are many ways to achieve the desired results without the discomfort - it just takes time and a gentle touch. It also takes awareness of what it feels like to be the patient.
Our care is comprehensive. Instead of merely looking for cavities or examining a broken tooth, we evaluate how all of your teeth, your gums, and your bite are functioning together. We are also interested in the appearance of your smile and discussing proper home care.
